Story with updates along the way. I wanted to share my story because this thread really help me over the past few months. When everything else I found scared me .. This thread made me calm to hope I wasn't preg. My last period was March 21 2014. I was supposed to get my period around the 23rd of April. It had not come yet when I had unprotected sex on April 25. I freaked out and took Plan B on April 27 when I still had not had my period. I got light headed after I took it but didn't get sick that day. The days following I was insanely hungry. To the point I was eating so much yet was never full. My hips automatically felt as if they were expanding with just a few days after of taking the pill. On May 3 I started heavy clot blessing with minor cramps and back aches. That lasted for 2 days. Then the weeks following I have had every symptom. Night sweats. Weight gain. Peeing often and sometimes waking up at night to pee. Sore pelvic region. Queezy. Erect and tender nipples. Ovaries tingling. Entire stomach feeling different. Basically everything to make me think I was pregnant. I ordered preg test strips from amazon in bulk so that I could basically test every day. I have been testing every day since the sex and every test has been negative. I still haven't had a period yet. I think the May 3 was the Plan B blood not a period. I was still concerned with no period yet and took a blood test on May 16. It came back negative. I went in for another blood test to be sure last Friday May 23. I should have the results back this week. My symptoms have subsided finally and my ovaries still feel tender but I also have been taking ovulation tests at the same time (again bulk order from amazon) bc if you are ovulating then you are not preg. During the heaviest week of symptoms (last week) I took the ovulation test too (along side pregnancy) and it was positive for ovulating that day (I took the ovulation test this morning and I was negative). So assuming all this is correct I'm not pregnant. This plan B really messes up your system and cycle!! I have never taken birth control before so I think my body is/has been in shock. I will update once I get my period and the other blood test. But all I can say is I've been there and it's so stressful and the symptoms from the plan b mimicked pregnancy to a T!!! Scary!!

Update. Just got 2nd blood test results. Negative for pregnancy. So now just waiting for my period.

I know this is a really old forum post but I found it very helpful to ease my nerves and thought I might add to it to help someone out there who is also in need of some reassurance. Like everyone else on here I was experiencing the same symptoms and having the same concerns. I had my period 4/28 and on 5/4 is when the incident happened. The condom slipped off inside me and my boyfriend has ejaculated. I took the morning after pill within 4 hours of the incident. I experienced no sudden side effects from it. 5 days later I started to bleed even though I had just ended my period. It was a normal red color with some small normal clotting. About 2-2 1/2 weeks later my boobs started to get really tender and swollen. I was freaking out. I'm 4 days late for my period if counted from the regular bleeding. However, I just took a pregnancy test and it's negative. Whew! What a relief. I still don't like how whacky emergency contraception can make your cycle but I rather have that than have a child before I'm ready to.

I am sorry for giving these personal details but maybe people will find it helpful. 

I am almost 21 years old. I never had done anything sexual and am a virgin. He wasn’t inside me but sort of accidentally slided twice near my vagina and since it was wet I was afraid if there was any precum, then sperm in it would be able to make it somehow anyway. I believe I was near my most fertile time too. I took plan B one step 1-2 hours after this (all this happened on May 8th). After a week (on May 14th) I got a weird brown discharge that lasted couple of days. It was strange that I had it because I just had my period end on April 28th. Before I got that brown discharge, I felt funny whole morning and was a bit nauseous, I felt bloated. However, it also could be because by that time I grew extremely paranoid and ended up not sleeping much. A week after that (May 21st), my breasts began to feel sore, but now, couple of days later they seem to go back to normal. 

I had my last period go from April 20th to April 28th. My periods are kind of irregular but it seems like my cycles are bigger than 28 days in total because usually my period gets delayed a week every time. (So I would expect my next period to be on May 27th or so). I got mild cramps on May 25th and began to feel bloated again. I really hope it is because I’m due to have my period, but with all the other symptoms, I was afraid I also might be pregnant. I read a lot of stuff online and the chances were slim to begin with but I am still afraid, I heard that the pill can make you feel like you’re pregnant as well. These forums made me feel a little bit better about everything. However, it is May 31st and still no period however, my cramps got worse and seem more like PMS. 

I want to take a pregnancy test on Monday, June 1st. I will write here my results. I expect it to be negative, however, I probably still won't calm down until I get my period. Because I'm crazy. 

If somebody could tell me that I'm freaking out for no reason, it would be nice, but don't lie haha

(Herschel again). So now I got something, but it's not heavy or anything, nothing comes out but only when I wipe there is a brown discharge. What the hell D: I am so scared

(Herschel yet again, coming back happy) Yep, got my period!!! You have no idea how happy I got. Gosh, this pill, never again!

Found this forum weeks ago and was following it until I shared my story which is above. Hope whoever is in similar situation isn't panicking too much. The pill works! But it sucks because of all those symptoms, and psyching yourself out only mentally exaggerates them. So relax everyone :) Good luck

I got my period too finally. So I know those of you waiting for the same will freak but don't stress. I'm sure you won't be preg but your body is going to act like it for sure!!! I'm having a glass of wine to celebrate! Never again!! I've put on 13 pounds!! Time to get to the gym!!

I posted a couple months ago that i had a positive pregnancy test after taking the morning after pill. i am now 12 weeks pregnant.

I don't know if I'm freaking myself out for nothing or what. I started my period on June 1st and was spotting/basically off my period by the 5th. I had sex with my boyfriend on the 5th but after he realized that I was slightly bleeding. We used a condom but before he came he pulled out and ejaculated between my butt(tmi I'm sorry). I asked him and he said that it wasn't close to my vagina but you can never be too sure. I took the pill shortly after hoping that it will work. I have a period tracker app and it says that I wasn't supposed to ovulate until the 12th and I took the pill before that date. Lately I've been feeling breast tenderness, nausea, and cramps just like a lot of other people on this thread. I don't know what the likelihood of the pill not working considering the circumstances of when I had sex and took the pill. If anyone has any idea please let me know!

you should be just fine because you most likely haven't ovulated yet, you did it right after your period making it harder for you to get pregnant AND you took a pill. The pill will make you feel like you're pregnant, but if you think about it, you shouldn't get any pregnancy symptoms right after the intercourse right? They all come later on. Your period might also get delayed. If you are too nervous, take a pregnancy test to put your mind at ease. Hope all goes well!

I'm going through the same problem as u did.. I'm freaking out right now and ..did u end up pregnant? It will be so much help if u can tell me

I ended up pregnant, but had ovulated the day before I took the pill. I am due to give birth in 2 weeks. If you had not yet ovulated before taking the pill you should be OK because it prevents ovulation from happening. You might experience some pregnancy - like symptoms in the week following, but this is normal. The pill can also make your new xt period a bit late, so of you're worried, take a preg. Test on your expected period date

Did anyone's weight ever go back to normal?

Hi..I can see this thread is over a year ago,and I am actually going through the same..I was hoping to find my answer in this thread but everyone was just talking of their experience too no one mentioned what happened after that? Could any1 be kind enough to tell me if u turned out pregnant or it was just side effects of the plan b? Will really appreciate response
