Lana,
Did you ever start feeling better? I'm in the same boat right now--only had two allergy shots in a month and feel horrible, like I've permanently done damage to my body. Please reply and let me know how you feel now. I'm concerned.

Yes, I felt better about a week after my last shot, but I never went back again.

I experienced a very similar thing. Searing pain down my arm hours after an allergy injection. My Doctor told me the needle had been placed too close to the nerve. It had nothing to do with the allegen. I switched arms and it never happened again. The nurse who administered the shot was fired.

The fatigue and general ill feeling will eventually disappear. It took at least six months after the allergy shots to get over them. You just need to get through it.

I'm having much pain with my shoulder lately, and I've been taking allergy shots too. This week I just told the doctor I can't take shots anymore. I have some arthritis, so I'm wondering if the arthritis and the allergy shot in the same shoulder just doesn't mix well. I just know that I've got extreme pain now, and my shoulder and arms are hard to move. I wonder if I'll ever get past this feeling, or if this is permanent damage???

I started allergy shots in 2013. 2 shots in left arm and 1 in right arm. I started having issues with my left elbow. I finally went to the dr and it was tennis elbow. for the next 6 months I tried injections to the elbow and physical therapy. nothing worked. I went to an orthopedic and I had a complete tear in my ligament. I had to have surgery in June 2014 on my left elbow. In December 2014 same thing with my right elbow, surgery. I am now having issues with my right shoulder. I have stopped the shot about 4 months ago at the end of 2016. I truly believe they caused my problems. I have never had theses kind of issues before taking the allergy shots.

Hi Sharon. I am located in TX and I did the rush immunology in Houston in 2013. starting having issues with my left elbow, had to have surgery June 2015 and surgery on my right elbow Dec 2015. I do think the shots started all these issues with my joints and ligaments. I have stopped the shots and will have to suffer through my allergies.

I have only gotten a few weeks of shots but am stopping now. Two days after my first shots, both arms ached so bad that they felt like concrete blocks! I asked the doctor if it was a side effect but she said it shouldn't be and asked me if I have been tested for fibromyalgia! My chiropractor has worked on me but can't fix the problem. He agrees with me that the allergy shots are causing my problems. The day after the shots, I am in a lot of pain and very fatigued. Coworkers can tell that I am not well; it's kind of embarrassing. I'm so relieved to find out that others are experiencing the same thing. Sometimes my pain is unbearable. Very hard to work because it hurts to write and type. Mornings are very bad because I use my arms a lot in the shower, getting dressed and blow drying my hair. I'm so tired of doctors dismissing my symptoms. It's time to take matters into my own hands and do what I think is right for me,

Did you stop the shots? My last shot was a month ago and I am still struggling, on prednisone and muscle relaxers. I haven't felt well for so long and I so want to feel normal again! Everyone says you just have to get through it but I don't know how I can. I am miserable and angry with the allergist who didn't take my pain seriously when I asked her. I am mad at myself for not stopping right away. I wish I had an end in sight. I REALLY want to feel good again! Somebody please tell me that I will be well again. I'm tired of being ill.

Yes - when they run out of the batch of allergen they made, they just make a new batch - of it's a new batch, they do this buffering to ensure its safe & you're adjusted, prior to increasing to a maintenance dose... since each can be slightly different
