Hi Missheatha,
When you ask "can" the answer must be: yes, if a single viable sperm makes its way to the egg and fertilises it, then you are pregnant. (Or will be depending on definitions)
If you ask "how likely", the answer could be "maybe". There are lots of factors that affect likelihood of pregnancy. The number of viable sperm deposited, the proximity to the egg, where you are at in your fertility cycle, barriers (chemical and physical), and of course pure dumb luck.
The more "aligned" factors are, the more likely you are to get pregnant, and vice-versa.
Practically speaking, the difference between depositing a pool of semen deep within you at the height of your fertility cycle, and a little frottage through a friend's shorts just before your period is a huge gulf!
If you don't want to get pregnant, use an appropriate form of contraceptive, and/or keep his baby juice out of your baby chute. Talk to your doctor, pharmacist/druggist, or family planning consultant for advice that meets your circumstances.
If you remain concerned, there are dozens of home pregnancy kits available from supermarkets, pharmacies and drug stores everywhere. They can be used discretely with a little planning (nb don't put it in the kitchen trash or try to flush it) and will inform your next choices.
Bottom line: Chances are you'll get away with it, but remember that boxer shorts are not recognised as an appropriate form of contraceptive.
