Hello, guys. My neighbor was recently diagnosed a pulmonary amyloidosis. As far as I know, it is really rare condition. I would like to know whether pulmonary amyloidosis can be spread to other organs as well. I would really appreciate your replies. I am not a medical expert, I think you should know that.

Hi, there. Well, I am not sure whether pulmonary amyloidosis can be spread. I would rather say that it is one of the localizations of primary amyloidosis. Other organs can be affected. Those are kidneys, peripheral nerves, liver and heart. This pathological fibrillar protein is being accumulated in various organs and tissues. That makes this organs not to work properly. If you find out something more, let me know. I would appreciate that. Bye!
