My mother is entering her menopause and I admit that it is not hard just for her, but for all other family members too. I guess that the worst part is her sudden mood changes that have been happening more often lately. And unfortunately, there is also depression, which is slowly becoming severe. I need to know – can you expect suicide thoughts in severe depression?

Suicide thoughts might occur in that condition, but I guess you should not worry that much. If your mother did not see the doctor recently, then perhaps you should explain to here that there are medications that might help her with her problem, there are hormonal therapies, session therapies (solo or in a group). If it is because of the menopause, when the therapy is over, she should be her old self.
