I probably have glycosuria, but am OK with what I believe that is. I have type 2 diabetes under care of a nurse practitioner and an endocrinologist. Neither are interested in this problem. I am 70 yrs. old and circumcised. My problem is that frequently [several times a day] when trying to urinate, my sticky, smelly urine refuses to accept direction. Either my penis will not extend, yet oozes or spurts urine, making it too slippery to grab, but usually it does extend, but the tip acts erratically and sprays in unexpected directions [s]. This makes a mess of the floor and of my clothes. I keep wondering if there isn't some sort of physical treatment. such as tying a ribbon around the penis to pull it out, or an ointment which might persuade the crevice in the tip of the penis to stay fully open. Or is there a potentially effective minor surgery? Yes, I know about adult diapers. >:(

I have the exact same problem. I hope there may be a toilet apparatus which will deflect or guide th urine down into the toilet water.

I am 74 years and beginning several months ago developed the inability to control the direction of my urine stream. I will assume that the lack of information on the internet implies that this does not imply a serious condition. So it is just a nuisance, possibly related to age. I plan to get a long-necked funnel to keep next to the toilet.
