Hi, my mother is suffering from chronic arthritis for several years already. When she visited her doctor last time he prescribed her Celebrex and she was very satisfied with it. Few days ago her friend told her about serious problems which Celebrex may cause, like ulcer complications and stomach bleeding so I would like to know how serious it may be.

Hi, Celebrex is NSAID and all medications from that group may cause problems like nausea and in some cases even stomach bleeding. However such complications are very rare and Celebrex should be used once daily. Other option in not to treat arthritis and I think it is much worse solution because risk is very small in Celebrex case.
