Im worried. I had my second cryo done on monday and ive been having weird skin like chunk discharge. It looks like regular skin not pink like I would imagine cervix tissue to look like. I worry that maybe I was pregnant? is that possible? there was a chunk that looked like a small black button surrounded in skin.. i looked up abortion pictures to compare it(i know it sounds gross) and im just wondering if anybody knows what this could really be? thanks

This website was helpful because after I had coughed, I released a golf ball size of discharge which was brown and looked as though it was a wad of ripped tissues.  I was worried and called my doctor but they want me to come in.  I know coffee granules are normal, but this site was the first who mentions tissue-like discharge.

I'm posting this in case anyone else reads this. I had my LEEP 5 days ago and tonight I had a cramp and a large fleshy thing come out just like you all described. I called the dr on call and he was VERY nice and informative and told me that the blood stop stuff they put on the cervix forms a scab of sorts and within a few days falls off. Either slowly or little pieces with huge chunks every once in a while. Gross, I know. I wish my dr had told me this herself, but we got busy chatting about kids (anyone else do that with their dr?) haha. Anyway, no cause for concern unless there is heavy bleeding right after. And to answer someone else, yes, I have been a little bloated since but no tenderness. That would be cause for concern I'm told.

I had the leep procedure done a little over a week ago and have been very bloated as well. I've gained 4 pounds and am watching what i am eating with help of ww. It's very uncomfortable. Hope to hear back from you and how you made out as this post was a couple years ago.

My doctor said to go back if there's unusually heavy bleeding for more than 3 days, otherwise blood can be experienced up to 3 weeks. Go back after 3 weeks. Unusual or foul smelling discharge is another reason she said to call or go back, as well as fever (chills, aching, fatigue) and abdominal pain and cramping that persists and gets worse.

I had LEEP 6 days ago & half an hour ago released what looked like a tea spoon size of clumped coffee granuals wrapped in what looked like tissue paper. It did not smell nice either. I got anti-biotics yesterday from the docs after I called to tell them about the smell. It has not been terrible but i'd rather be safe than sorry. Soooo this discharge seems normal then from all the posts. Does anyone know exactly what it is though? And also I am very annoyed that doctors aren't telling patients this could happen. I ended up having to stay in hospital after my LEEP because the doctor damaged some blood vessels and caused a large amount of bleeding - which had to be monitored. I'm waiting for my biopsy results now & if I need more treatment i'm going to seriously think about declining especially as there is no proof what-so-ever that these abnormal cells cause cancer.

i had the LEEP procedure done a week ago...my doctor told me of this side effect when i had the biopsy but not when i had the LEEP done...he said i would have not only the "coffee ground" discharge but also what looks like "tissue" and he was right...but failed to mention the same side effects after my LEEP procedure. Needless to say i was worried when on the second day i couldn't urinate normally...it would just drip or dribble (if that) and it hurt!...upon further investigation i discovered that the "tissue" like substance was covering my Urethra. After removing it, it must have loosened the rest of the tissue because it started coming out as before with my biopsy but this time i started bleeding (i think a clot has dislodged) so im debateing on going to the E.R. because this much blood cant be good and definatly isnt normal...good luck to you guys!..

The "chunk" is not skin...it is tissue the Dr. Uses to stop bleeding after procedure is preformed. The amount that is discharged depends on how big the area the Dr had to removed and can discharge over a period of a few days. If you experience bleeding longer than a week..or heavier than a normal period then you should consult your Dr. Also it is normal to have a terrible smell with ashy discharge..on the other hand, if it starts to smell like a dead animal...you should prob be put on an antibiotic because you may have an infection.

I had LEEP 2 days ago and today started seeing random pieces of skin or tissue coming out, once in the shower and the rest while wiping from using the restroom. It was so strange and one of the pieces were pretty big and it scared me but I'm glad this board is here because like others have said my dr never said anything like this would happen. Thanks ladies, looks like we have to help each other. So glad you were here and were honest enough to mention it so others can relate.

The same thing happened to me. I had a LEEP done this past Wednesday and by Saturday, that thing came out of me. I am glad to read here that I am not the only one that has happened to. I was overly cautious (very nervous) and didn't do much those few days following the LEEP, so I know I didn't cause it. I guess it falls out at different times for different people. Still, it was quite scary. I'm hoping to never have to go through this again.

I am so glad you posted this. I just had a LEEP done 4days ago and had a rather large clump come out that looked like wet tissue paper. Pretty much what everyone's described on here. Scared me a little because I wasn't expecting it. Glad I read all of these :) sounds pretty normal
