I had my LEEP procedure 2 weeks and 2 days ago. I was healing fine, all the bleeding had stopped about 5 days ago. I noticed some discharge but didn't really think much of it. About 4 days ago I noticed the discharge had some unpleasant color to it. I went to the doctor the next day and she said I had a 'significant' infection in my uterus! I thought I had a UTI possibly because my back was achy. She gave me a shot of antibiotics, as well as a 2 week round of Doxycycline twice daily. (when I asked what te shot was all they said was antibiotics.) when she looked at the swab, she said she had to send it off because she couldn't tell what kind of infection it was. The next day, my joints hurt. The next I was achy all over. Today I woke up because my hips, lower stomach and lower back hurt. I'm debating going to the emergency room or waiting it out. I have an appointment Friday to get the results from my LEEP. Opinions, advice?
