ColdMD lawsuit, why was it pulled out of market?

I check with the pharmacy periodically for Cold MD. It is such a great product, and kept me from getting a cold all winter for a couple of seasons. Now I have a terrible cold, and would love to know where and when I may purchase it again. Does anyone know the answer to this question? I live in northern Indiana.

I read here that Cold Md is coming back, but that was a year ago now.....and all I see is discontinued everywhere. I would love to ba able to buy this again.......if anyone knows when it's coming back....could you let me know? thanks!

The active component in the original ColdMD is an herbal formula that was provided to Iovate Health Sciences by a company called Plantiva. That same product is available on Plantiva's website as ImmuneDx. The formula is designed to keep you from succumbing to URTI,'s - i.e. upper respiratory tract immune conditions. If you succumb and need relief, try the ColdDx. Plantiva's products are also available in some health food stores that are listed on their website, plantiva.com.

I was under the impression that ColdMD was still available in Canada, the home country of the company that originally sold it in the US.  

yes it works and they took it off the shelves because it was blowing every thing out of the water i wish i could have stocked up on it ,after the initial dosge i took 1 per week and never had a cold fro 2 years

This is 2012. Why haven't we seen this product back in the stores. I get bronchitis from colds. Cold MD was the best product I have ever found for shortening and mild colds and never got sicker. I never had any side affects from the product. I want Cold MD back.

ColdMD was an amazing product! I had a terrible cold and it was cured completely on the 3rd day of taking it.

Technically, it is a 'dietary supplement'. Just as bodybuilding supplements and vitamins are classed as 'dietary supplements'. ColdMD is a 'dietary supplement' because it can be used as a way to prevent the cold from happening in the first place.

I took this product if I was stuck in the cold for a day at work (I work outside) to prevent me from getting a cold. And to tell you the truth. I NEVER got sick when I started taking this product. To tell you the truth; the first time I took this product, I had a bad cold. It cured it very quickly. Then I took the product occasionally whenever was in cold weather or around somebody with a cold. I remember telling people that I haven't gotten sick in 4 years..

Nowadays, I get sick once per year. And it takes me about 2 weeks to cure it with other medicine. It definitely should not have been pulled from the market.

ColdMD Blue box is all I ever used. Thought it was awesome. Actually bought at a Walgreens a few years ago. Wish I had bought a dozen. I have cutout the label to keep searching for it. .It is on my "wish list" on Amazon! IT WAS REALLY REALLY remarkable. The fizz was interesting! (I thought). I have also found oscillocoocinum and cold calm to be helpful but more expensive. I use EmergenC, lemon/lime daily, and a few times a day when I am fighting a cold. Will look into ColdFX. Found a listing that the federal Trade Commission had pulled the product. I have not called them yet,

I never took cold md but from my experience with allergy md there is no doubt cold md worked also. it seems when there is something out there the normal person can afford and it works... then the big pharmacutical companies get in on it. i took allergy md as directed and for 2 plus years i didnt need anything i could mow and i mean nothing bothered my allergies. course now iam miserable. but i will nerver take a prescription for allergies. iam still searching for something equal to allergy md. if anyone knows of anything let me know. thanks

I bought Cold MD, for a bad cough I had, that just wouldn't go away. I took care of it in a hurry. ColdFX was  being investigated, and I didn't like the results of that investigation. It was taking too long to help with colds and flu. I still refuse to use it. I want Cold MD back on the shelves as it's the only natural medicine that works for me. The Big Pharma would rather we suffered from side effects than find comfort. When will it be back on shelves?

Thanks for the above info. I used Cold MD, and I found it to be very good for fighting colds. I had a really bad cough, and it eased it very quickly. My oldest son had the same cough, so I gave him, the rest of the Cold MD, and it helped him too. I'm very disappointed that it was removed from the pharmacies. A Market Place report on Cold FX gave the info that Cold FX was not what the manufacturers were claiming it to be, and you had to take it for a longer period of time to get any benefit. I will not buy it nor would I recommend it to any one else. That's just my feeling about Cold FX. I want Cold MD back on the shelves. I prefer herbal medicines my self, and natural healing.

I wouldn't take Cold FX if you paid me to. It doesn't help any body. I want ColdMD back.

Please please bring back ColdMD. I can’t live without it, get colds all the time, fear getting them and all these drug companies are running a mafia, clearly ColdMD was eating into their profits so they got it pulled from the market. This also happened with another drug for another disease (stomach ulcers) and drug companies kept on selling drugs to manage symptoms. Then some awesome dr in Australia finally was like, this has to stop. He researched the root cause and now 2 weeks on antibiotics is all you need for a permanent recovery. I still can’t belive these drug companies allowed this to pass! So back to ColdMD. What are some good alternatives? ColdFX sucks and doesn’t do anything for me. Sometimes El Lysine works (ignore the claim that it’s for skin and nails, it works by boosting you immune system). But really WTF, we have AZT for AIDS but still no cure for the common cold?
