I am 5 months recovering from being a long term heavy vicodin abuser. I've had 2 blood tests including
lft's that cam back good. I was taking 20-30 a day towards the end. Can anyone tell me of a similar expererience you had.? Hopefully someone who quit 2-3 years ago. Just concerned about my overall health.
Thanks for any help.

Hello!! I have indeed been there! My addiction to pain pills Vicodin, Lortab, Percocet..etc..) at the very end made me a very sick woman. I was eating upwards of 100 pills a day and it never occured to me that I was consuming almost lethal amounts of Acetaminophen which finally did lead to an overdose that left me so sick. it was one of the worst experiences in my life! My liver took a beating but many years later and several methadone/suboxone detoxes..my health is good! I can't take Tylenol, but aside from that , I feel lucky I didn't end up with major health problems! I wish you well!! Opiatefreeme

it is impossible that you were taking up to 100 pills a day. The lowest dose of vicodin is 100 mg acetaminophen. The human liver can only handle 4000 mg of acetaminophen at one time and if it exceeds that you will go into fatal liver failure. if you were taking 100 pills a day even at the lowest possible does that means you were getting 10,000 mg a day of acetaminophen a day which is almost 3x the amount that would kill a human. You could kill a horse with that much. Nice try.
