I am a 33 year old man with a long history of good health (until recently).  I am a former athlete, maintain a reasonable body fat and BMI (12% body fat, 6'2 - 195 pounds), exercise five days a week, and maintain a well balanced, low calorie diet (although I do not eat any red meat, pork, or chicken).

I do take .75 mcg daily of levothyroxine for a hypothyroid issue, but that is my only health concern.  As it pertains to physical ailments, I did suffer a string of knee injuries three years ago which resulted in multiple surgeries.  There were some minor complications (small vein bloodclots in my leg, constipation from the pain killers) but nothing that was not resolved within the year.

Therefore, for the last two years, I have been very healthy.  I have lost all the weight I put on during my year of surgeries and recoveries, and I have had no health issues for 27 months. I do not drink any alcohol, do not use any drugs, and have never smoked a cigarette.  For all intents and purposes, I have always been, and continue to be, very aware of my health.

My issue is this; I do not currently have health insurance, and am unemployed.  Therefore, going to see a doctor is a nearly impossible option.  The pain is also not so severe that I feel the need to report to an emergency room, however, the severe discomfort (not quite a full-on pain) has now lasted for 16 days.

This discomfort occurs most often and most intensely after I eat, although it is always present.  Let it be known, that I never over eat, that is, I never "fill myself up".  So I know it is not a result of over indulgence.  The discomfort is centralized in two places; centrally in my upper abdomen, directly under my sternum, and below my leftside ribcage, just above my oblique.  It is a discomfort I can only describe as a cramping, tightening, and unrelenting discomfort that almost feels like a fissure tearing at times.  Occasionally, late at night, for whatever reason, I feel nauseated as well.

At first I tried antacid tablets, and I thought they were working, although I fear now that may have been more of a placebo effect.  Since then I have not tired much of anything, other than drinking alot of water to try to flush this out of my system.  On a daily basis I take a multi-vitamin and an additional vitamin c.  I have never had any negative reactions to my vitamins, and I have been on a vitamin regiment for 15 years.

If anyone has any advice, thoughts, or perspectives, they would be most appreciated.  Thank You in advance.

Last night I replied rather long for your complications but the editor removed it because I put some reference material on my website for you to read. I guess I am not allowed to do that. So I am writing back in shortened form.

Your symptoms might be due to the injuries you had on your knees 3 years ago. Any injury in the body might disrupt normal energy flow through the acupuncture meridians and will cause the organs on the same meridian to malfunction. To eliminate this you need to visit a QRA (quantum reflex analysis) practitioner in your area. I can't give you a phone number to call but you can make a search on the web for premier research labs, they are the pioneer in this field and they will give you the info on qualified QRA practitioner in your area. You can go the allopathic way and try if they can help you but if they can't I would try QRA. Sorry I am not allowed to be open any more than this but this is not something we can resolve over the internet. You need to be tested in my opinion by a QRA practitioner to identify all the interference fields in your body. Good luck!
