The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction can be inherited, like malocclusion or teeth that don't fit together properly. An injury such as a blow to the jaw resulting in upper and lower jaw being moved from their place my also create permanent problem. Another reason for TMJ can be constant jaw clenching and teeth grinding. The most annoying for me were jaw clicking and headaches. Some people also have sinus problems and even ears can be affected. You need to analyze specific case to find out all circumstances under which a person got sucseptible for developing a disease.
