I have had CRPS Type I (RSD) in my knee for 9 months following a surgery above the knee. I tried epidural outpatient blocks for months with little relief. I just finished a 5-day Ketamine treatment in hospital and have the first real relief. My U.S. insurance company only wants to pay for the first two days and classifies the whole thing experimental.

My questions 1) do you you know of anyone who has gotten their U.S. Health Insurance carrier to pay for Ketamine treatments? 2) can you share details of a successful appeal? 3) do you know of ways that the treatment can be legally coded so that it is acceptable for billing? 4) will the outpatient booster treatments also be denied for coverage/compensation? 5) should I get a lawyer and could a lawyer really help?

Thanks in advance!
