Well, a few nights ago I mistook my valium for my cyclobenzaprine, and I ended up taking 40mg of the cyclobenzaprine, needless to say I felt very awesome but noticed it wasn't the valium; when I woke up the next day I was still feeling it and I had realized I took 40mg of cyclobenzaprine. The whole day I was dreary, I could not think straight if at all, and my head would go tingly on and off the whole day. Now today I feel like I'm recovering, I do not feel it anymore, and so far my thinking is back, and no tingles in my head today.

What I was wondering is; I know the max dosage per day of cyclobenzaprine is 30mg, and space out when taking the medicine, I was just wondering if there could be any long-term effects of taking 40mg all at once.

I take the same meds for my back. (flexeril)
10mg.s don't touch me at all, so Dr. said i can take 20mgs. at a time.
As long as you are feeling better, the affects have obviously worn off.
I don't think you should have a long term issue, just be more careful with your meds and don't take them in the dark or when you first wake up.
