I have a congenital heart defect (tri-cuspid atresia) which was treated through surgery when I was 6. In my teens my menstrual cycle started late and with an erratic schedule which seemed to even out in my mid 20's.
Now, as I have reached my late 20's palpitations and pains became more frequent as did my irregular cycle. I was recently prescribed digoxin for these pains which has helped the issue right away.
I am doing some home research before seeing my gynocologist and was wondering if there were any methods of birth control you might suggest for a patient with my prescription and circumstances.
Any ideas would be appreciated THANKS!
