I have stopped taking celexa and wondering if anyone has had any positive stories with weight loss. I've been on and off different antidepressants for 20 years for mild depression. I started taking celexa 40 mg  4 years ago due to early menopause symptoms and mild depression after some health issues. I was taking 40mg which greatly helped with crippling hot flashes. I did however put on a considerable amount of weight - 30 +lbs. Previously I never had a weight problem and was easily able to lose it if I happened to put on 5lbs. I'm 5'2 and a small frame. Prior to celexa  I never weighed more then 125lbs now I am up to 155. I initially put the weight gain down to hormones but am now convinced it was celexa. I exercise daily and try to eat well, but the weights just creeping up and up.

I wonder does anyone have any success stories with weight loss after SSRIs? I need some hope!!!
