Random stomach pain is very difficult to diagnose because it can be a host of problems--anything from gas pain to menstrual cramps to other serious things. To be honest, her symptoms sound primarily like indigestion, but I would hate to have to make any speculation on her situation. I think that if you can, try talking her into going to the doctor to check on her symptoms. She might truly be concerned but just a little scared to go because she might be afraid of the diagnosis. Let us know how it goes.

Hi:
Try not to panic. I understand your concern for your mom. However, her symptoms could be related to something she is consuming. For example, some people experience those symptoms after consuming milk or other dairy products. I'm sure that the death of her friends is affecting you and probably her. That may be why she doesn't want to think about it. Try to relax, but keep trying to get her to see someone. She may do that eventually. Until then, try to stay healthy yourself. It can be very hard to watch someone that you love, experience symptoms that cause you concern. Remember, it doesn't have to be something fatal. Good luck with getting your mom to a doctor. Please let us know how you accomplish that task. There are many members with the same problem. You can help them too.
