I eat small pieces of green Irish spring and white dove. I used to eat it a lot but I've slowed down(I'd like to quit) :P. I also infuse cornstarch w/Irish spring and dove b/c it reminds me of baby powder.

It's called pica. I craved irish spring soap and ivory soap since I was a little girl, I kicked the craving until I got pregnant. I ate it with toliet paper or ice. I told my doctor about and got my blood tested turned out I had low hemoglobin and low white blood cells. I was anemic. I still kinda crave it but not as much

I like to eat thin strips of green Irish spring soap and dove (the white and the green tea w/cucumber). I've eaten and craved soap since I was a kid but haven't had any side effects. Maybe it's b/c I eat such a small amount :p

Yes! I'm 30 and I eat a whole bar of dial gold soap everyday. It started when I was 19 with Irish spring soap. Dial gold bar is my favorite now but I'll occasionally eat a bar of Irish spring too. I seriously thought I was alone. I can't help it and I have bars stashed everywhere

I had to quite buying Irish spring b/c I always ended to tasting it. So I started buying dove white but I ended up liking the way that soap tastes. Gonna have to find a soap that doesn't appeal to me :P.

I crave original dove and caress but my favorite is green Irish spring. I like to use a vegetable peeler and shave off strips of the soap. I eat it w/ dry cornstarch so it gets crunchy and the starch gets the soap scent

I've always craved soap, Irish spring is my favorite and mountain fresh dial. I like to slice thin pieces and eat it. I also like to grate those two soaps and mix them w/cornstarch.

The dove white soap is EXTREMELY addictive to me b/c smells and tastes exactly baby powder, another one of my pica cravings :p. I started buying Irish spring and ended up loving that taste of that soap too.

For all my life I occasionally ate soap bars and finally was diagnosed with an anemia, just like you.
I'm also on iron supplements, and my craving is still appearing, but a doctor of mine told me that craving will eventually disappear, when our body "recognize" that it has enough iron.
What I always found peculiar is when someone crave only certain brand of soap. How odd is that? I asked my doctor about it, but she couldn't get me a straight answer.

I keep a bar of Irish spring in the drawer next to my bed and take small bites. A bar lasts me about two weeks now (I've been craving a lot more lately).
