ARE THERE ANY EFFECT FROM EATING ICE CUBES?

Loading...

Eating ice cubes might be bad for your teeth (cracked tooth) but in general, you're just eating frozen water. Shouldn't be a problem. Now if you were to eat, like, a dozen ice cubes in a matter of minutes, THAT might cause a problem. It simply can't be good to put that much frozen water in your digestive system that fast.

Pica is defined as an appetite for substances not fit for food, such as clay or paper products. Pagophagia is specifically pica for ice, and studies show this to be a specific indicator for iron deficiency anemia.

Hi,
I know when somebody eats ice cubes it may be a symptom of anemia. Anemia is iron deficiency that can lead to other complication in blood. So anemia is not something that can be left alone. It needs treatment and usually doctors will prescribe you iron pills to bring your iron levels in blood up to normal. Sometimes this can be without any reason and it is just a habit. Whatever caused it you need to watch your teeth. Teeth can get damaged from eating ice, and in many cases you will feel a pain in your teeth and gums. It would be a good advice to avoid eating ice if you notice any pain in teeth.

I hope this helped

It's not going to be too harmful to you and it only slightly increases your chances of "Amenia" but so does an unhealthy lifstyle or a bad diet.

Ice is not bad for you. Junk food is bad for you. But they both increase your chances of reciving the diease.

Ice does have its benefits. It is known to be a great hunger supressent, it's water - therefore healthy in itself, and it can actually help you lose weight, although refrigerated water is a better option for this.
