Hi everyone, I’m here because I think I know an answer. Try eating cilantro instead. Research food grade diatomaceous earth and micronized zeolite powder.

I know for a fact that my Pica is directly linked to my anemia. When my iron levels are low, I crave Irish Spring soap to the point that I buy it for the sole purpose of tasting it. But a couple of weeks after having an iron infusion (I can’t tolerate oral iron supplements…yet, I can tolerate soap, Lol) Irish Spring smells COMPLETELY different to me, and I am actually somewhat repelled by it. It definitely tastes awful when my levels are normal. I don’t take bites out of soap, I prefer to just scrape it lightly along my bottom teeth to eat the little “shards”. I also sometimes spit it out after holding it in my mouth for awhile. My concern is that recently, I’ve started carrying little tiny pieces of soap in my pocket when I’m at home, just to sneak a private moment. SMH. It is such a major stress reliever, but I’m also thankful that I’ll be having another iron infusion in a few weeks. Good to know I’m not alone though.

I am disappointed that the new Irish spring smells different than the original bars that I crave . I get my fix my filing up a mini cube ice tray up with the soapy water ( I know it’s good when it’s a light green ) and eating the ice . That’s how I get my fix . Try it & tell me if it works for you as well . It’s tasting the soap without the burn ! Because I crave the soap all day . I watch Asmr Of soap cutting and soaked soap .

Wow I’m glad I came across this post, I thought it was just me. I have always love the smell of Irish spring since I was a kid. The original to be exact. I don’t eat the soap but I like when after a bath it sits for a bit and get dry but the bottom builds up this wetness of flavor and I just have to lick it. I like to rub it on the root of my mouth and just rub my tongue back and forth getting the flavor over and over till it taste like water down soap. I stopped doing this when I was kid but it picked back up when I became an adult so I stopped buying it. I been good for awhile but then I became pregnant and had a miscarriage and now I can’t help myself it became a need. I talked my man into buying a 3 pack of it because I told him I’m obsessed with the smell and been craving it but really I just wanted him to get some so I can get that flavor again. I crave it so bad that I can’t stop rubbing my tongue across the root of my mouth because I want to taste it so bad but try to wait till it’s been wet , sometimes I even put water on it wait for it to dry just so I can lick the bottom . Maybe I have developed pica, it would make sense, cause it’s never been this bad. I would usually crave the smell of it that’s it b it things are different now. How can you make this stop ?? I don’t want to get sick but it’s so good. I said I would quit once the 3 bars are gone maybe it’ll die down on its own.

I don't swallow soap but I chew it and spit it out. Green Irish spring, blue coast and white dove are my favorites.

Hi, guest.
You know this habit can be harmful, right?
You can try stopping soap chewing by:
1. Offering alternative activities: Provide the individual with engaging activities that can help to distract them from soap chewing. Examples of activities could include reading, listening to music, participating in a hobby, or playing board games.
2. Creating a safe environment: Make sure that the environment is free of any objects or items that could be dangerous for the individual to ingest. This includes removing any soaps, lotions, or shampoos from the area.
3. Providing positive reinforcement: Praise the individual for not engaging in soap chewing. It can be helpful to give rewards for abstaining from the behavior.
Good luck to you all!

I'm obsessed with dial gold, Irish spring, coast and ivory. Basically all the original scented soaps. I bite off pieces of the soap, chew it then spit it out. It's sorta like chewing gum for me since I only want the taste.
