Hello! Because my extended work lately I sleep very little I started to feel first consequences of my sleep deprivation. This kind of my dedication work is expected to be continued for few more weeks. Can you tell me what effects of sleep deprivation are?

Hi! As a doctor I must say – stop this kind of behavior immediately. Sleep deprivation is common condition for most of adults. But its effects especially with your rhythm of work can be great. Bad memory, emotional moods, low energy levels, mental abilities...All this can lead to lowering body’s ability to metabolize glucose, and therefore it can lead to symptoms that suggest early stage of diabetes. My recommendation is slow down; the effect sometimes can be great.
