That’s awesome! I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better. I’ve had a bad past few months and I think it’s that my hormones aren’t really balanced. I honestly just fake it till I make it lol but I’m glad that it’s not as bad as what I had in the beginning...I just hate the memory of the intrusive thoughts and the numbness that comes with that. I FINALLY got some new B12 and I’m gonna be starting D3 again too, I think the deficiencies have really been affecting me mentally/emotionally. I should really start going out more and trying to distract myself like I did in the months where I felt almost fully recovered

Would you be willing to share what types of OCD thoughts you had specifically and when it stopped? I ask because i'm 4 months in and it's so bad i'm feeling suicidal. I have obsessions about everything and I never had this before. Thoughts about hurting myself, thoughts that i'm going crazy and i'm mentally ill..etc. I also haven't had anxiety since my first month and now i'm having horrendous anxiety to the point I feel like i'm vibrating.

I obsessed about things like what if I’m gay, what if I harm people, what if I do something sexually inappropriate, stuff like that. The POCD was the worst and I was so ashamed about it but I saw on another forum about women coming off the pill that so many other women dealt with it too. The memory of those thoughts still scares me so I probably just have to let myself fully heal and get over it. It’s been about 15 months since my whole experience started, POCD being the main theme that my anxiety started with. But as of right now I do get anxious about being stuck like this forever...it’s hard but I try to just take the recovery process a day at a time. You’re only 4 months off the bc right? not to discourage you but that’s when most of us who are farther along had the worst anxiety. It hit me when I was 3-4 months off and I felt HORRIBLE. But don’t give up, try to distract yourself as much as you can and maybe check out some supplements like St. John’s Wort (that got me through the first 6-8 months off), vitamin b12, d3, 5-HTP, etc. I know it’s really difficult but you can make it through. Recovery can be a long process but it gets better with each month that goes by.

Thanks I appreciate you sharing that with me. It's good to know i'm not alone. I've had some really traumatizing thoughts but the worst ones are my brain telling me I have to die. It's crazy. & yeah I just finished my 4th period. You are very strong, I sometimes wonder how the heck i'm gonna keep doing this. I am praying by 6 months i'll at least see improvement.

For people who have never been on the pill, if their hormones go out of whack from stress or something do they have the same kind of problems we are having ?? Cause seriously, if my hormonal fluctuations are always going to be like this i'd rather be on the pill ! I went on the pill so young that I don't know what it's like to have my own hormones doing their thing, and if it should feel this awful..

Yeah you just have to remind yourself that these thoughts are not you, simply anxiety. Don’t worry I had those thoughts too but they got better, don’t give up! It can get so extremely frustrating and sometimes you may feel hopeless but just remember one day this will be a distant memory

you going to get through this honey. i think we all struggled with thoughts of dying, and you dont even know why your brain tells you that. anyways.... you WILL get through tis, you will be normal again just be patient with the process no matter how bad it gets, know that there's hope. Ive come through it feeling normal again. Today is officially a year since symptoms started , i started feeling better by month 6, the depression was the last symptom to stop, that was not nice at all but like the other ladies say, keep busy no matter awful you feel, it does help, eat clean, go for walks, take your vits and minerals and before you know it you will be yourself again. Its great that you having a period every month, it speeds up the healing.

I dont think so and even if they do i dont think its so severe. Ive had imbalanced hormones since my teens and it was never this severe

So if it's not imbalanced hormones that is causing us to be so miserable, what do you think it is? I can't think of anything else

I think she was saying that our hormones are severely imbalanced from coming off the pill, but people whose hormones are imbalanced from stress or something don’t get symptoms as bad as this. Because this was caused by synthetics

When did you guys start having your worst symptoms? Mine started within three weeks of stopping the pill but i'm heading into my 5th period off and i'm feeling WAY worse. It's clear there's something really wrong with my hormones and i'm going to do a DUTCH test this month but I can't even figure out when i'm ovulating.

My worst symptoms were at 4-5 months off, so many women feel the worst around that time and for some reason some women say the 7th/8th month are bad too but for me it wasn’t

So I’m 2 years off almost 3 in feb, I just left to go on a vacation in Belgium. I’m on day 2 of my period and am having the absolute worst bouts of crying and just feeling sad all day. I don’t know if this is because of my body adjusting to the time difference or my period (it’s never this bad) or the couple of sleeping pills I’ve taken the past two nights. Can anyone help ? I feel so sad and I should not be sad on vacation !!!

Time changes while travelling make me reallg emotional. But also there's a good chance it's the sleeping pills. What pills are they? Sleeping pills often have side effects.
