Friends, I need some help here. Has anyone else had PVCs?? Those heart palpitations that feel like your heart skips a beat and then the next one is very forceful? I had a ton of them the first few weeks that I was off the pill then they left for a looong time. Now they're back again and happening every 30 seconds !! I'm getting chest pains. The ER says they won't do anything for them unless every beat is a PVC. So all I can trace them back to is going off the pill. I don't know if it's my hormones or not. I've tried electrolyte drinks & that's done nothing :(

Yes! This happened to me and I went to the ER with chest pains and shortness of breath as well, but they said I was fine. Hasn’t been happening so much lately and I didn’t really do anything for it; they kind of just stopped on their own. So I don’t have much advice. But you’re definitely not alone! I’ve seen a few other women here complain about the same thing as well.

Hey guys! After a few weeks with my moods improving and little to no anxiety, I’ve been having a few off days lately. Which is to be expected! I know it’s just a little bump in the road, but I’m still struggling to deal with it. I just get so frustrated sometimes and want to completely feel like myself again without waiting for the next spell of depression/anxiety. Just need to vent every once in a while and this is the best place to do it, with people who truly understand! I hope you’re all feeling better.

I feel like i'm completely losing my mind. I'm closing in on month 5 and i'm worse than ever. I've started having episodes of exhaustion and muscle weakness, heart palpitations, anger and suicidal thoughts.. but it's all month long !! I feel like my life is over. I can't function anymore. I messed up my hormone test and had to scrap it and i'm pissed that I have to wait another month to find out if I have a hormone imbalance or nothing. I can't cope anymore and reading people still having problems over a year off is so disheartening.

I know how you feel but trust me IT WILL GET BETTER. The first few months off are really hard but slowly you’ll start to feel like yourself again. I experienced all of these symptoms as well but they will eventually dissipate. Just hang in there!

I'm having my worst month so far. My period was coming bang on every 28 days for a while and now it's 31 days with no period in sight. I've been crying and feeling extremely depressed and flu-ish all day.

Has anyone tried Happy Hormones? I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews for it and testimonials about eliminating anxiety and brain fog and all that fun stuff. Just curious if it’s worked for anyone her.

hi sweetie how you holding up? a hormone test is not going to actually show up that you have a hormone imbalance. Even if it comes that some of your hormones are low, it will still be within the required ranges so they will just tell you, you are fine. an endocrinologist will be your best bet as they will look at more than just sex hormones, they will do a full panel including stress hormones etc....

Is your cycle coming on a monthly basis or not?

I'm confused. A blood or urine test is how hormone imbalance is diagnosed. Whether your hormones are a little bit imbalanced or really out of whack, tests will show that and if you're having significant symptoms different forms of treatment can be administered. Are you saying that you had your hormones and they were normal or only slightly out of whack? Because everyone is different.

When i had mine tested, my Dr advised that my DHEA was a little low and my progesterone was very low and serotonin too but when i looked at the report, the numbers were technically still in range. So for example Serotonin was 164 but the range is 70 - 270 ng/ml so technically my result of 164 still fell within the "correct" range , DHEA-S was 2.3 the range is 0.6 - 7.2 umol/l progesteron was 6.0 as of day one of period and that should have been between 16.4 - 59 pmol/l. so what i'm saying is that the symptoms being experienced are more sever than what my hormones were reflecting. We all know that something went very wrong with our hormones coming off the pill but our sex hormones are not the only ones affects.... you have cortisol for example that is a stress hormone, which if too high will cause panic attacks and crippling anxiety but that wont show up on the std panel of hormone testing which is usually the sex hormones.... neurotransmitters are also affected but those also dont get tested on the std hormonal panel.

So go for your test but dont be alarmed if you get the " everything looks normal" feedback. It doesn't mean that what you are experiencing is all in your head....

Some of the ladies that are on this group also went for hormone tests and were advised everything was fine meanwhile they were having a hard time coping and trying to make it through each day.

What test did you have done? There is no medically proven way to measure serotonin levels in the brain so i'd be very skeptical of whoever performed that test. Regardless, it's very uncommon to experience such severe symptoms, especially longer than six months after stopping the pill so I think anyone should be tested just to see if they could have a serious imbalance, thyroid disorder, hormone disorder such as PCOS, a tumour or adrenal problems, etc. All these things can be addressed and ease a lot of suffering. Even just having a minor imbalance and knowing what's off can be addressed with specific supplements and dietary choices to ease symptoms. Just my opinion but I get where you're coming from. I don't think anyone should be made to feel that this is normal because it's not.
