Wow, 14 months! Im only half that! Its crazy the way it makes us feel like this! So unfair! I feel awful that my first year of marriage has been a rollercoaster! :-( i realy wish i knew the side effects of goin off the pill! Any recommendations for not overthinking things an getting paranoid? Wish i could just snap out of it

Lol Im still trying to figure that one out myself. But deep breaths do help. Try to keep busy, exercise and time for yourself relaxing bath tub, candles etc that really helps me.

You're right the same with me but not if im truly relaxing like i mentioned in the tub with scented candles and no lights and relaxing music. Or by the ocean that kind of relaxation overpowers everything else.

Do any of you feel more anxiety at particular times? I feel it mostly on weekend, and mornings.

That is true, rembering what we worry about. I call it having anxiety over anxiety. I usually have more anxiety when I drive and more in the mornings I guess. It's very light now compared to the beginning.
Trying to do everything you can to relax is key. Easier said than done of course. Lavender epsom salt baths are pretty soothing. Going to acupuncture helped me learn how to meditate somewhat. The needles don't hurt and the room is quite, you just lay there. Heating pads or heated blanket are relaxing as well.
Being 9 months off I feel the best I have in a long time, I'm hoping I can finally put this behind me even though I Know I will never forget.
I like how active the board has been! It was just me and Shyla on here for a min. I hope all you gals are having a good day. I went to Lake Tahoe over the weekend and was surrounded by nature mountains n sun! Even went kayaking. I went out on the deck, lounged in a chair and let the sun hit me. Try to get outdoors n breath in some fresh air. Kinda peaceful.

Glad you've been feeling better girl :) It's been about 3 weeks for me now that I've felt better. Going on 10 weeks post pill after having birth control in my body for 4 months. Still afraid of sinking back into that black hole but I'm grateful for every good day I've had.

Hi guys not really sure what's going on but I had something happen to me and I had to stop my bc pills and idk if what I'm feeling is from what happened or from stopping the pill. Or it could b a combo of both. But pretty much have all the symptoms y'all are talking about. Been off for about a month. Do u think restarting will help it? I would eat a dog t**d at this point to feel normal again?

Hey. This is a tough one. I personally wouldn't go back on the pill unless you have a medical condition that the pill helps with, anemia, endometriosis, etc. I've read in different forums that going back on the pill made some women feel worse, but you could always try it out.
If your body is having a bad withdrawal reaction to going off the pill it's probably having a hard time producing is own hormones that the pill used to give you. How long were you on the pill?
I know it's rough, everyday is hard, and it will takes weeks/months to regulate , but I think you should quit the pill indefinitely. I don't think synthetic hormones are good for our minds and bodies. You will also have to quit the pill eventually one day and it mine as well should be now since you are already off of it and going through the thick of things, getting the worst out of the way.
The pill also has its list of side effects. You may want to start taking raw organic vitamins to put back what the pill has depleted. Maybe get your hormones tested if you can. Good starters would be magnesium at night, whole food multi vitamin, b complex, women's probiotic. You can also add oceans 3 healthy hormones, which really works for me, but everyone is different.
Take every opportunity to relax and rest if you can. Hope this helps.

That's good. I'm glad you are feeling better. You will have some set backs that make you feel like you aren't healing and going backwards, but the good days do start to out number the bad.
Have you noticed a change with the Oceans 3 yet? I read that you didn't like the aftertaste. Remember to store them in fridge and eat with meals, healthy meals preferably. I had a lot of digestion stomach issues after the pill so eating the right foods helps.

Hey I was on it for 14 years and did fine on it. I just had some strange event almost take me out and idk what happened. It's hard to talk about. One day u feel fine then bam your just a reflection of your old self. Idk if it's a combination of everything that happened but I just want my life back and I'm looking at everything to try and get it back. I feel as if someone turned my happy switch off and put the sad, anxiety switch on full throttle

I am so sorry that you have to deal with this experience as well. I went to the gyno, begged him to take blood, and he told me that my hormones were fine, which I do not wholeheartedly believe. I have happy moments too, but the doubt still sits there at the back of my mind. It is like I can't be happy entirely. Just trying to take things day by day. I don't know if you have been trying a lot of different remedies or not, but I have been taking a b complex pill (all natural), pumpkin seeds, and coconut oil (about 2 TBS per day) and noticed that OCD thoughts diminished, as well as my urge to break down. Stay strong! I can't tell you how many times I question about giving up, but know that there is a reason why we are so upset about feeling these thoughts: we love our boyfriends. Stay strong everything will work out.
