Two months ago,My daughter had to have surgery to remove two discs in her neck. A month after the surgery, she is diagnosed with fibromalgia. Could this have been caused by the surgery? Thanks for any help.

Thats weird, I know that truama, major depression and theres others that could cause it. Go to the library and get the first book on Fibromyaglia. There are many different signs. Its really interesting.

This has also happened to me. I had neck surgery 3 yrs ago. I have suffered like you can't imagine ever since. I have been diagnosed with Myofascial Syndrome, RSD, tendinitous and lastly Fibromyalgia.
Take a guess at what is really the problem...I sure do not know.
However the reumotologist that diagnosed me with Fibro reported a score 18/18 tender points associated with Fibromyalgia.
Has any type of treatment helped your daughter?
I tried Lyrica and could not take it. The reumo also told me I was Vit D deffecient and ordered me 30,000 units of vit d every week for 3 months.
Has your daughter been told she lacking in Vit D also?
I find it very ironic that your daughter has been diagnosed the same as me after neck surgery. Any other ailments such as thyroid problems?
