I am 7 days post adenoidectomy and having extreme neck pain. I am 41 years old.
Make sure your daughter is on antibiotics during healing period

my 3 yr old son is 5 days post op adenoid and tonsil removal. Hes been waking up crying like hes hurting. He wont tell what hurts, after reading these blogs, i bet its his neck.

Fifth day after surgery is still very early p[period for her recovery to be completed. How old is your daughter? Can you tell me more about the medication that she is using and is she able to eat regular food? What kind of medication is your daughter using for the pain? It is very important that your daughter have lots to drink after the operation. Sometimes after the surgery she will vomit a lot so you have to wait until the vomiting stops to give her food. You need to help her with her mouth care as well, brush her teeth gently. She also can’t blow her nose out in the first week.

My son is 6 day post Adnoid and Turbinate reduction surgery and his neck and head is still very painful.  He can't put his head back and has difficulty turning his head to the side.
