Wow am I ever glad I found this site! I switched from Tricyclen to Yaz last month and took every pill, every day of the week at the same time. I finished the pack last Sunday and was supposed to have a period this week. I'm usually a day or two late but now the whole week as gone by and today I'm starting back on the pink pills. NO PERIOD! I'm freaking cause I'm worried I'm preganant (who isn't when they miss a period?) but I, too, had some little pink/brown spotting for two days then nothing. Very very minimal. Soooo... now what?

So as everyone has said, stop freakign out! My first month I got my period on my 4th white pill. Its normal that it takes your body a while to adjust cause all month the hormones made it think it was prego and now its told its not and it gets confused. If you dont get your period at all before you start taking again then just take a pregnancy test in a few weeks and dont worry till then. I had a friend who didnt get her period for her fist 4 months on the pill and it was just her body adjusting, especially if you used to get your period on a longer then 26 day cycle! As the package and your doctor should have said is to not worry cause it takes 3 month to adjust!

oh thank god, i've been searching online for 3 days to find out why i'm late. i hope this is why. this is my first month on yasmin and i started my placebo pills on sunday and today is tuesday with no sign of a period. i had symptons of painful ovulation on my second to last day of hormonal pills, so that should mean i hadn't already ovulated, right?
me and my boyfriend had sex in the water, which i heard is really unsafe, so i've just been freaking out.. plus we're on the rocks and the emotional stress just isn't helping

I have had the same problem. I have been on Yasmin birth control for the past month and i just started my white pills yesterday. I'm very confused because I haven't seen any blood anywhere. Just a bit on my tampon but nothing other than that. Me and my boyfriend have unprotected sex but he pulls out each time so i'm scared that i'm pregnant or if its just my body getting used to the Yasmin. It's very confusing. They should specifiy these things on the package.

The first month on a pill is alwyas irregular. There is nothing to worry about. Keep taking the birth control as you would have and things will be in balance soon :-)

hi! WOW this site was so relieving to find! Thanks! So here is the gist. Just to be sure... I used to be on Cyestra-35 for nearly three months and i didnt like it b/c it really made my period irregular and isnt it supposed to have the opposite affect? anyways, so my dr switched me to YAsmin. I was so excited to start it! so i stopped cyestra and i got my period. On the first sunday of my period i started Yasmin. On the sixth day I saw my boyfriend for the weekend (who i rarely see b/c we are going to school in different provinces). We had sex (made sure to use spermacidal condoms and as far as it seemed, nothing broke and it all seemed ok and we were very careful). Anyways, i have finished the remaining pills and today am going to take my fifth white pill (the placebos of the 28 day pack) and still no period has shown up; not even any spotting at all (which is normal; i have never spotted)! So naturally, like any girl, I am a little worried! I know its normal to have odd periods on your first few months but i'm still a bit scared (naturally). Does anyone know what is wrong with me?

im on my first month also and me and my boyfriend had sex about four weeks ago and i only have four white pills left and i still havent started i got all freaked out and took a test which was negative so im guessing from reading everyone elses this is normal. will it start up and be regular after this month? i like having my period because it lets me know im not pregnant lol. if it doesnt start next month should i switch pills?

On my first month of taking the pill, i only got light bleeding on a tuesday - saturday (during my pill free days before i started a new pack on the next sunday). on december 25, i had unprotected sex and my partner finished inside me unintentionally. on my second week of the second pack, i started having slight lower abdominal cramps but no bleeding. now, during my pill free week, i haven't had any spotting or bleeding. is it possible that i'm pregnant or is my body just adjusting to the pills?
