hi i just want your advice on something. see i had my period last september 5, 2009. on the 9th of september i have finished my pack of pills and decided to stop at that and not take another pack anymore. my hubby and i had sex without pulling it out on the week of the 9th and on the week of the 15th, after taht we had sex and used widthrawal method.days after the week of the 15th intercourse i had slight bleeding of pink blood, feeling nauseated, having headaches, back pains and lower abdominal pain. the bleeding stopped after 2 days but the other feelings continued. i was just wondering if it is possible that i am pregnant even though we assumptively had sex on my safe days? or does the pill make a difference in that, thus giving my body a chance to ovulate since i stopped the pills and my assumed safe days could have been the time wherein i was ovulating? does anyone have a clue on this? i know it is too early for testing so i need you people to help me.. please!!!

thank you!

I quit my birth control pills September 9 and this weekend determined that I am about 2 weeks pregnant. We are excited but was planning on it taking at least a couple of months. So you can get pregnant immediately after coming off the pill

So I was in my second pack of birth control pills, which I started last Monday (11/02/09). I work full time and I sometimes can't remember to take the pill so some days i would double on them or missed a day.

I had intercourse couple of times and i stopped my pills on (11/10/09) because I felt that I couldn't keep missing them so find another way to protect myself.

Now(11/12/09) I am bleeding like if I am starting my period when I just had my period October 27.

My question is can you start having your period right away after stopping the pills or can it be something else?

** This is a good answer I got from this question that I asked in another website.
Answer:If you stopped taking your pills suddenly then yes you can bleed again. When you are on the pill you don't technically get a period, its called a withdrawal bleed, from the withdrawal of hormones during your pill free (dummy pill) week. You are effectively having another withdrawal bleed.

Since I did have intercourse like 5 times when I missed the pill and then doubled up Im still going to check with a preg test but not until a couple of more days to see if the bleeding continued or not.

I stopped taking BCP on 1 Oct 09 and got my period right on schedule on 1 nov 09.

I thought the first month off I was for sure pregnant because of all my symptoms. I was shocked when I saw AF. I did some research and realized that I might not have ovulated so I joined FF and started charting my temps. I ovulated on cd17. 15DPO I got a BFN so I was starting to think that maybe I didn't ovulate.... I didnt have any symptoms this month except cramping since O day and very tired, so I thought this month was a bust also.

I had a Dr appointment on cd16 and thought since I was there I would get a blood test. I was 3 days late for my period and I wanted to know if i was having a really long cycle or pregnant. The urine test came back negative so I did a blood test. 6 hours later I was told i was pregnant and the HCG level was only 26... so I just got pregnant....

The only reason I was requesting the test is because of the charting of my temps and checking of my cervix. 16 DPO i still not had a temp drop to represent AF on her way and my cervix was always changing. Right after O it was high and soft, then went low and firm, then went medium but felt very swollen.... almost like a thumb sticking out.. sounds weird i know but only way to explain it.

It definately can happen right after BCP........ baby dust to all

Hey everyone,
I have been trying to get pregnant since October of 2009. I was on the depo for a year then I was on the pill non stop for 2 years. I stopped taking the pill in the middle of october. I didnt have my period in october but I did on Thanksgiving. It was a little heavier than usual but it was about the normal lenght (5 days). Then I didnt think I was going to have my period in December but then it came the first week of Jan. I had a normal period for 2 days then it went away for a day then it came back really light for a day then went away for a day then came back really light for a day and now it has stopped. What does this mean? My friend got pregnant on her period cause she did not ovulate reguarly but she was never on birth control. Could this mean im pregnant? If not, how long could it take for me to conceive? I am really anxious to have a baby.. Please help! :-(

I was on Yasmin for six years. I am now 21 and got off the pill this past November. For the person who asked if having your period after stopping the pills is normal, the answer is yes. Its a withdrawal period because your body has been tricked into thinking it was pregnant and now it is not.
After getting off of Yasmin, I had my withdrawal bleeding and then 32 days later, I had my first regular period. And then 34 days after that, I had my 2nd regular period. Etc. Now I am 4 to 5 weeks pregnant. My husband and I are thrilled. I just wanted to let you all know that it is possible to ovulate right after getting off the pill. I did ovulate the first two cycles after the pill, but we were not yet trying to get pregnant.

I was on yasmin for 6 years and just recently stopped taking the pill right when I was getting my period.. After my period was over I didn't continue to take the pill. Two weeks later, I ovulated.. I knew that because I had spotting for one day and sore bbs. 4 more weeks went by and no period, I thought that was just my cycle being irregular after stopping the bill. Sometimes my bbs would be sore and heavy but I thought that was a side effect also. I didnt' have nausea yet at that time.. I started to get really weird period-like cramps that would come and go for about 10 or 15 minutes. They even started to wake me up in the middle of the night.. I felt little twinging, kind of pinching tiny little feelings in my lower abdomen. I took one test, one had a VERY VERY faint positive line, then took another the next day and it was negative. Waited another week and i got FOUR POSITIVE TESTS!! they were all dollar tree brand, too.. So I didn't get a positive until I was about 4 or 5 wks pg. Just went to the dr and found out IM HAVING TWINS!! Oh my goodness I am surprised. I guess when you get off BC you can ovulate twice so be careful. :-)

I am no expert on pregnancy, but I am pretty sure spotting is a sign. The best way to find out if you are pregnant is to take a test. True Blur pregnancy tests can test on the first day of when your period is and as early as five days before. If you are not sure of your ovulation schedule and you have been on a birth control more than a year and are having problems, I would talk to a doctor or someone you know in the medical profession you can trust.

is a good site to check out if you have questions, I looked at it when my sister was having a baby. :) Good luck to all of you and fear not a baby will come when it is meant to. I hope this helps :) But seriously, you girls that are spotting, get a test and check it out.

Hey Everyone!

My husband and I are ttc and I had been on the pill for over 10 years. I stopped taking it after I finished the pack on July 16th. We had sex every day the following week and I took an ovulation test that came back positive on the 24th or 25th of July. We had sex on the same day as well. Since then I'd been feeling nausea, lower back pain and mild cramping. Monday of this week, Aug 9th I got what seemed like my period, for 2 days and then it stopped completely. Yesterday I had some brownish spotting and now nothing. I'm thinking that might have been implantation bleeding. I've taken three HPTs and they have all come back negative. I'm thinking it still might be too early, as it takes days after implantation for hormones to be detected. I'm just wondering if I could definitely be pregnant or am I having some false hope??  I'm open to suggestions and ideas!
