I recenlty got married, and it just so happened that my honeymoon fell at the same time I would be getting my period. Knowing this a month in advance I started my pack one week later than normal so I would not be on my period during the honeymoon. However of course I had spot through bleeding which I had assumed would happened, but then of course I got my period the week after the honey moon as normal.
I wanted to get my body back to the normal cycle again, so I did not take birth control this last month. I have done this in the past and I also got regular again and a period. However this time it has been different. I'm now one week late. I have my new pack of pills and I was going to start them the Sunday after I had my period however that has not happend.
I have heard rumors that women who have been taking birth control for years have trouble getting pregnant right away. Is this true? If it is why, then, haven't I started my period? I have been on the pill for 11 years now. I don't want to take a test yet because it has only been a week, but I'm extremely nervous about the situation.

Everyone is different. I got pregnant very quickly after stopping the pill. You have messed up your cycle so that could be the reason but the only way of telling is by doing a test.
