You can only get pregnant when a sperm meets a released egg in the fallopian tubes. One egg is usually released each 'menstrual cycle': the day you 'ovulate'. The egg can live for up to a day (12-24 hours) after ovulation, and sperm can live in a woman's body for about 6 days. So you are considered fertile on ovulation day and the 5 previous days. Other days would therefore not be fertile days. On those days you would not be able to get pregnant. So 5 pm on the day after you ovulated would not likely be a fertile day.
The fact that you had a period on 17th April does not necessarily mean you would get one on 17th May. That would only be the case if you have a 30-day cycle. The term 'monthly' period is because so many women have a period every 28 days (a 28-day cycle), and that is linked to a lunar month rather than a calendar month The moon circles the earth in about 27 days and there are about 29 days between each new moon (average = 28). However, a lot of women do have regular cycles of 30 days. They can vary from 24 to 35 days. Also, some women's cycles are irregular. So if your cycle is the typical 28 days, then as last period started 17th April, then your next period would be expected 15th May. If that were so, then you would probably have ovulated 1st May, and 4th May would not have been a fertile day.
Ovulation usually occurs a fortnight before a period. More accurately, a period occurs about a fortnight after ovulation. What were the start dates of your last 6 periods (or as many as you know)? That would give me an indication of your cycle length.

17/03/2017 to 17/04/2017 = 31 days
Without earlier dates, it is difficult to project future period start dates (and to estimate fertile days). In any case, it is a good idea to keep track of your periods. It can help when you have gynaecological check-ups and procedures.
On the face of it, it would seem that your usual cycle might be about 31 days, and maybe your March period was a week early (did anything memorable happen that month?). That means that if your cycle had been on course to be 31-days, then 4th May could well have been the day you ovulated, and therefore a very fertile day. But equally, it could have been shorter, and 30days or less would put 4th May outside the fertility time-frame.
However, having taken EC pill, you would likely have averted any chance of pregnancy. It does mean that your next period might not come at the expected time, and the subsequent period start might be affected also.

- How old are you, & how long have you been having periods?
- Was this your first-time sex?
- Why did you use 2 condoms at once & were they spermicide-coated condoms?
