Yes i am the same person who posted above, well does that mean my period cycle is effected because i had the pill? And is my period is delaying because of the pill? I am really confused? Is there any chance that i got pregnant? Please explain!

There is always a chance of pregnancy. Nothing is 100% effective. However, to get pregnant you would have had to have ovulated after you had sex or the same day. That would mean you would have ovulated a week later than expected. You say that you are very regular at 28/29 days, but you estimated your period to arrive 31 days after your last period! So how did you calculate your due start-date? Can you provide the start dates of your last six periods?
If you ovulated the day you had sex or the next day (when you took the EC) then it could not have prevented ovulation. But if you had ovulated on time, then taking the EC pill possibly just a week before your period was due may have delayed your period.
If you take a test 21 days after your sex (=8 May?), then the result should be reliable.

Hey, so i had my period on 27th march, i was suppose to have my period again on 24/25th april. But i had an i pill on 18th april within 48 hours of my intercourse. Its been above two weeks my period is late. I took a test, it’s negative. Why is it delaying? Can you please help me?

I don’t remember my 6 starting dates of my period. It usually happens in time one to three days early or late. I got a pregnancy test on 5th may, it was negative. But there is no sign of period yet.

The test result is likely to be reliable if your cycles are never more than 31 days. But taking the EC pill will likely have affected your cycle and delayed your period

If it happened at a fertile time there is still a chance of pregnancy. But you have given no menstrual cycle data.

The i-pill is levonorgestrel and is reckoned to be
- 95% effective if taken within 12 hours
- 85% effective if taken between 12- 24 hours
- 75% effective if taken between 24- 48 hours
- 58% effective if taken between 48- 72 hours
  - of unprotected sex.

hi..thnx for sharing your experience.I always take iplli after unprotected sex with in 2 or 3 hours.All these monthes my periods were regular but from the last month it is irregular.Last month my period was 10 days late and it was last for only 2 days.In this month my period is 6 days late and yesterday i have taken ipill last day also after unprotected sex.Last month i take my home pregnancy test and my two test were negetive.But in google it is said that after taking ipiil there is possibility of get pregnent 2 women out of 100.That is so scary you know.Is there any possibility of getting pregnent?In a week i took ipill 1 or 2 times is it safe to take iplii?

If a test is taken 21 days after last sex, then a negative result would be reliable.
A period starting would be a good indication that pregnancy has not occurred.
The i-pill is recommended only for women aged 25-45.
There are risks taking the i-pill.
The i-pill is for Emergency Contraception, not for regular birth control.

Last 6 months period lasts 25-26 days

Last period date is 18th May

25th May - Sex (condom came out), no ejaculation but there was penetration

Ipill taken on 26th May exactly after 18 hours

There was no bleeding. Today is 12th June yet no bleeding or periods. What would be your advise.
