Hello. Baldness runs in my boyfriend’s family. I am very concerned as he also started to lose hair. I am aware that eventually he will be bold but he doesn’t seem to care that much. As if he got used to that idea. But I haven’t!!! I do love him but I don’t like bald guys! Is there anybody who can explain to me why it happens so often to men that they lose hair and name some of the hair replacement procedures? Thank you so much in advance!

Hi! Did you know that every two out of three men lose their hair? Sound awful, doesn’t it? Hair loss is believed to be primarily caused by a combination of the following: There are a couple of reasons that hair stop growing. Some of them are: aging, illness, family history of baldness, burns, trauma, poor circulation to the scalp, vitamin deficiencies, dandruff, excessive hat-wearing and a gene passed on from an individual's maternal grandfather. The earlier it begins, the more severe it will become. Hair replacement surgery cannot help those who suffer from total baldness. Candidates for hair replacement must have a healthy growth of hair at the back and sides of the head. That hair will serve as hair donor areas where grafts and flaps will be taken. The most common procedures for hair replacement are: hair transplantation, tissue expansion, flap surgery and scalp reduction.
