I have been taking prometrium for about a month now and what I am experiencing is hair loss. I did lose hair before but it was the normal amount of 50-100 hairs. However, for the last week I have noticed that the falling has been excessive. What should I do?

Women in menopause may suffer from hair loss. I don’t think that Prometrium has anything to do with this. Hair loss happens because of the drop in estrogen, which leaves excess testosterone, which results in hair loss on the head and hair growth in unwanted areas. However, this disorder should be only temporary and should improve. My hair loss improved after being on estrogen replacement therapy. You should also check your thyroid as thyroid problems often cause hair loss.
