What do you think of replacing the traditional medications for candida, such as nystatin with herbs? I have been reading a bit about this and am intrigued. Since candida overgrowths are largely caused by diet any way, it makes sense to cure it in the same way too. Opinions are appreciated!

You know, a change in eating habits is often enough to cure candidiasis naturally. I know herbal supplements are sometimes suggested, but eating a Traditional Foods diet, making sure there is no sugar in your diet, and limiting your fruit intake, are great ways to deal with this condition, which, by the way, appears to have reared its ugly face only starting in the 20th century! This is a modern disease, caused by bad eating habits and processed foods.

I had a severe case of candida that even Nystatin couldn't fix. I was on the candida diet, no sugar, fermented foods, fungus, etc., and while that made my digestive symptoms calm down, it still didn't get rid of my systemic allergies to my medications, the hair loss, chronic fatigue, depression, and other symptoms. I started seeing a homeopathic doctor and by doing NRT he was able to relieve 80% of my symptoms, and then he ordered a product that FINALLY, after 6 months, got rid of the Candida! It's called Mycocan-Chord by Energetix. It's a tincture that contains a ton of herbs, and within a week, I went through a huge die-off (yeast infection, skin rash) and I felt 100% again!
