I have a problem that I really cannot explain on my own. That is why I wanted to ask you to try giving me an answer to my worry. I know this is hard without my history and physical exam, but I need to know at least what it could be. I have problem with my periods, so I want to hear if that could be hormonal problems. Beside this, I want to know how infection could affect my menstrual periods.

That is true I cannot help you much online with so little info about your problem that you gave me. It would be better, definitely, if you could visit your doctor and tell him anything he need to know. I would recommend you to have simple gynecologist’s exam, especially if you are younger women. He may give you the reason for abnormal bleeding, or wrong periods you suffer. It is well known that hormones imbalance could lead to abnormal bleeding. However, sometimes some other problems, such as an infection or irritation that can be cause for abnormal periods. Not all this is hard to treat, because if that is hormone problem it could help you to take birth control pills. If infection caused abnormal periods, it could be treated with cream or a suppository. The first thing it should be done when a patient reports unusual bleeding is make sure it can be explained. As I already said, you would probably just needed to have exam and take therapy with birth control pills or a simple vaginal infection creams.
