Hi. I`m very sensitive on pain, I think more than average men. I have migraines and my head is in a constant pain for 2 days or more. I would like to know is there something I can do to improve my pain threshold? I hate pills. Does anybody have any experience?

Hi. I know women can handle pain better than men, don`t know why. I suffer from chronic headaches and I can function very well. Some people can`t. People with persistant pains have a lower pain threshold, but it`s not my experience. Some non-drugs treatments are effective in improving chronic pain, such as relaxation training, cognitive behavioral interventions, acupuncture, spinal manipulation and botanical products.

I have found mitragyna speciosa aromatherapy incense and various lotus flower extracts can alleviate MINOR aches and pains. It is no substitute for pain medication but it can help keep minor headaches away, it may help, it may not, but it is worth researching.

I have quite an opposite problem. I often find some small cuts or bruises on my body (hands, legs etc), that I do not remember getting. Can I do something to have better awareness of this?

Actually, men on average are less sensitive to pain then women are. So you being more sensitive to pain more then the average men is normal. Wome nare more sensitive to pain then men on average, so don't be alarmed, it's just normal.

So don't say "more then average men" because that doesn't make sense, because men are not more sensitive to pain, especially not on average.

You being more sensitive to pain more then the average man is normal

because you are a woman. And women are more sensitive to pain then

men in general(on average).

Well I'm not so sure that you can do anything about getting more sensitive to pain. Sometimes I find this small cut an my hands that I don't even remember (usually from cooking. :-) ).
I really don't find this a problem. If you can not feel bigger cuts or bruises than you could have some problems. Until that you will be fine.

I do not cook, so I can not assume "they are from cooking" :-D

But they are small, 1-2 millimeters.
