Dear god! I'm doing that right now and feel like I'm dying! No appetite, throwing up, vertigo while driving, migraines, no sleep, no personality! I hope I don't die!

This is total BS. Withdrawal from Klonopin last four days? Are you crazy? Withdrawal from Klonopin can last for 12 - 18 months. Believe me, I've done it. I've also had to withdrawal from IV opiate pain killers from being in the hospital for almost two months. And believe me, I'd take that 10 day nightmare over Klonopin withdrawal anytime. And four days? You act like that is the standard for drug withdrawal. Ever kick IV fentanyl? I wish that was over in four days. And in my unfortunate but extensive experience with Benzo withdrawal, Klonopin usually doesn't even get bad until the 5-7 day off. That is because it has a half life of up to 50 hours, which means that over time it builds in your system so that after quitting it can take anywhere from 3-7 days for the withdrawal to even START. Man, I wish more people understood benzo withdrawal then maybe so many of us wouldn't be suffering needlessly because these drugs would be outlawed.

The only thing that is true is don't cold turkey benzos. That can not only cause a seizure, but it actually lengthens the time it takes the brain to recover.

I was on clonazepam 15 plus years. If been off the drug over 6 months. The hellish systems, I hate.It appears that It was more important to the medical community to take people , including myself off this drug even if it costed you your life. They as in some don't give a dam. They put me3 on this drug. They took me off this drug, with out a bit of caring .Why as I stated above they don't care!

I have been off klonopin for 4 months and I am still having problems. Dizzy all the time, anxiety and my life doesn't feel like my own! I dont know when this will stop either.
Why do the experts keep you on it so long if then you feel like this comes no off of it!
I feel like my brain is destroyed and I am just hoping it gets better

I have been on Klonopin for 20 years at 2mg. I have lowered my dose from 2 to 1 mg in 3 weeks. Little anxious but not as bad as I thought.

I am.51 years old and took Klonopin 8mg for over 25 years. I've had every imaginable withdrawal symptoms, I began a slow taper 2 years ago and today am Benzo free. It does get better emotionally. Physically I've gotten worse. I have what feels like my diaphragm is paralysed, a choking feeling, severe stomache and digestion issues, can seem to lose weight, my thyroid is thrown off every month, and have Tetany, and sever muscle issues, weakness, and tingling and numbness in my hands, feet and tongue.. I'm hoping this is all withdrawal and not some serious issue. My doctor can't find anything wrong, fails to say it is Klonopin, and wants me to see a Neurologist in October. Does anyone relate with this? Just.Jane

I am tapering off clonazepam and I am going through hell. I started with 3 mg but in six months I’m down to two and three eights. I have horrible muscle and body pain all over don’t know if I can make it through it. Constantly thinking of suicide . But I really don’t want to do that but I wouldn’t care to die. I don’t know of any easy way to get over this. Bruce

it only takes the brain between 4 and 6 weeks to completely stop producing gaba and become fully dependant on the medication, so yes 3 months is enough time for you to feel bad effects if you discontinued abruptly. Hope you are well.
