Like everyone else I have got diagnosed with chlamydia when I cheated on my boyfriend when he was in jail. The day after I took the 2 pills of azithromycin, my boyfriend was released from jail. He knows that I cheated on him but I was too scared to tell him I had the std. That night he got out he was trying hard to have sex with me but I was scared, but I eventually gave in. Now I am scared that I passed it to him. We are going to get checked out together, but I just want to know if I passed it to him or I am fine. One thing to add on with that is I got checked out as soon as I cheated, so I did not have chlamydia that long, I would of probably only had it for a month or less. And it was detected by my urine not by the vaginal check.

Yes you have definitely passed it on to him. It takes around 3 days for the bacteria to be wiped out by the azithromycin and during that time you are still very infectious. Symptoms take on average 6 days to fully subside. This is why you are not supposed to have sexx for at least a week after taking the antibiotic

I have taken doxycycline for 9 days now my doctor gave me a 10 day prescription , i have seen and felt just minor symptoms go away. It still stings a little after i finish urinating which is the most annoying and frustrating part of it all because that's the symptom that i mostly want gone...but i have some seen a difference since taking the antibiotic it just has been a very very slow and frustrating process...i cant blame anyone but myself for this and now i just have to deal with it and be patient. I've read a lot of different answers about people that have gone through this ...i just hope it completely goes away in 2-3 weeks cus i am getting real tired of having this

it takes up to 7 days i reseaved treatment last year but u do have to go get checked to make shure its gone if it is then you home free if not the doctor will prescibe you more antibiotics its best to keep geting checked over about a period of three months after being cured to keep it from reacuring i figured someone had to answer the first question since no one has i did hope i helped

i took 4 Zithromax tablets (250mg) and the doctor said it will take 2 weeks to be completely clear. having sex during this time does not harm you but use protection otherwise your partner will catch it from you. Once treated after these two weeks you should visit your nearest GUM clinic to get tested for everything to ensure you are completely clear of all STD's and also that the chlamydia has cleared :)
