Anyway, this is my first post so please forgive me if I have used seemingly inapropriate words. I hope what I say will be OK.
To my point - I found this post quite interresting. I am now 38, and still get a lot of pleasure out of tossing myself off - but I have never had a girlfriend so I am a virgin - as I have not found the right person yet. However, I often wondered the following:

My first experience of it was when I was 16, but in those days I had a lot of carbohydrate in my diet and I swam a mile a day. Would an increase of carbohydreate make any difference and if so, what? I also exercise frequently but can't tell a difference between days I've exercised and days I have not. My scientific mind tells me that a healthy active lifestyle is going to lead to a more healthy ejaculation but I don't know if that can be proven or not. I know that resistance training will increase testosterone and growth hormone levels so if anything could help, exercise would.

Never heard this but I know pungent foods will affect your semen so if you end up with a partner who might end up with semen in their mouth, you might want to avoid these foods.

Explain "too often" ;-) If you stop going to work and can't pay your bills because you can't let go of your unit, I'd say it might be too often.

Health benefits? Apart from the possible reduction in prostate cancer, I think the rest of the benefits are psychological; stress relief, relaxation, cures insomnia, and helps pass free time.

I don't know why anyone is concerned about the amount of fluid they can squirt. Does it matter? It never mattered to me.
I never noticed that the food I ate made any difference in my masturbatory pleasure but it does affect the taste of it for whomever has their mouth on it.
I have heard the theory about prostate cancer too. I don't know why it does, other than keeping it working well may have something to do with it. If you are high or drunk (it doesn't matter what people tell you, it's been proven) it makes your orgasms less intense. I'm not entirely sure why, but it does. I'd imagine because your body is already producing way too many of a certain hormone, plus your mind is preoccupied because you can't focus as well, you can't keep it up as well, and it effects your body a lot more than you would think it does.
