About three days ago my boyfriend and I had sex for the first time, it was intensely painful throughout the whole experience, but I did not bleed at all, we used protection, but he's afraid that a little of the precum may have gotten on the outside of the condom. I do not go to a gynecologist and considering I am a teenager my parent's are very strict on this sort of thing, it was an accident and we had no clue what was going to happen, before we had sex I hadn't had my period since last month, because I am not regular at all I cannot predict my periods. I am very nervous that I may have gotten pregnant, even though the risk is pretty low. Should I just wait and see if I have my period? I cannot tell my parents, until I am sure I am or not.

Hi Alyssa,
It's unlikely you got pregnant from precum if he hadn't yet ejaculated.
Regardless, if it hasn't been about 3 days you can get Plan B. It will prevent pregnancy, even a bit longer than 3 days.
It may be an option for you. Otherwise, just wait and see. It would be too early to test, you need to wait at least 2, preferably 3, weeks before taking a home test.
Good luck.
