So I had protected sex on April 5th-6th, and I got my period around the normal time, the 25th. And it was a normal, heavy, flow, and lasted for seven days. Then, today I got an awful sinus headache and was feeling really nauseous on and off all day. This headache has lasted for three days so it might be a migraine? I know I got my period but I read stories where women said they were pregnant but still had their period. So could my sinus headache/migraine be pregnancy related or something else like low iron or just a stomach bug or allergies? Is it normal to get migraines five days after your period?
I know this sounds like a dumb question but I'm worried. Any help is greatly appriciated:)

Hi Guest,
It is unlikely you are pregnant.
1. It was protected sex. That significantly lowers the odds of pregnancy.
2. You had a normal, heavy flow, period. You CAN NOT have a period if you are pregnant. If you did you would miscarry as the lining of the uterus is shed during your period. Yes, there can be bleeding but it is almost as a rule very light. If you were pregnant and had heavy flow there would be a high chance that you'd be miscarrying.
Your headache could be from any number of things including allergies, a sinus infection, or illness. It is not specific to pregnancy.
Hope it helps.
