I got off Depo shot 1 month ago and having weird symptoms

I had the depo shot in march 2011 and it was great didnt have a period or weird symptoms, i didnt go back for the shot and i havent been having any weird pains or anything. all i feel is my body movin around gettin ready for my period. i finally had it this week(july) and hasnt been bad at all. but not gonna go get another one as much as i hate bleeding i want another baby and cant seem to get preg..

Well I'm 17 and ever since I got on the depo in August I've felt like a worthless pile of cells. I never want to do anything and I'm always dizzy/tired. And can't keep my attention focused anymore. I seriously regret getting on the shot because I've been off for 2 months, still have the symptoms, have gained like 30 lbs and don't ever wanna do anything. I'm wasting my senior year away because of this! What is wrong with me? Anyone feel the same?

Yes,my period returned after missing 2 weeks after next injec was due. I'm 32 with healthy lifestyle I believe that helps. Also have a lot of female friends ovulating and I believe that a few hours a day with other females in close quarters like yoga class ect

Its a huge side affect,it takes 12 months really for the first shot to wear off completly,but it slowly gets weak.So it will probably take you over a year before you can have a baby.Im sorry

I know I'm a little late, but yes. I have read a couple of stories where a woman had only taken the shot once, and then next thing they know, the next month they are pregnant. I am having similar symptoms, but yet a little different. No sore breast, but they seem fuller, brown discharge that is thin and it has gone from light brown, to dark brown. I have spotted a couple times as well, but as for emotions, i cant tell. The past couple days have been havoc so i have no idea about that. I have been havin gross burps that i feel like i have to be carefull with or i will throw up, and mild, to a little heavy cramps that alternate between menstrual cramps, and a stabbing cramp. i have had head aches a couple times.. and lacking on sleep, but i dont know if thats because of whats been happening the past couple days. if anyone has info please help. sorry im late

THIS HAS BEEN NORMAL FOR ME AS WELL. MY BREAST SIZE HAS GONE FROM 36 TO 39 AND SO SORE. STOMACH PAINS TO.

I HAVE NOW GONE BACK ON THE PILL TO TRY AND REGULATE MY BODY. I THINK ITS TOTALLY STUFFED UP AFTER THE DEPO!!

DONT DO IT! Especially if you;re in a relationship.. My boyfriend and I broke up because I would get extremely HIGH or extremely LOW moods. Its awful, anxiety, depression =( Don't risk it!

ANYONE DONT DO IT !

i was 14 when i took it , im now 15 . so not much of a difference , i got peer pressured into taking it , i wasnt planning on having sex or anything but yeah . anyways , i took the shot , then BAM. the next 3 months were the worst months of my life . i felt like i was gonna puke for the full 3 months , i had pain in my upper and lower stomach . my moods were everywhere and i fell into depression and i was mad at everyone for it .. but thats nothing compared to what happened, definately not! one night i was homealone and i felt really wierd down there. i felt kinda , i dont know . it felt squishy dont there? so i jumped up and when to the bathroom then i pulled down my pants and to my suprise SOMETHING FELL OUT :/ i started to shake cause i was so scared. i called my mom and her and her friends came over and she was scared too, and it was just the scariest time of my life and i got rushed to the hospital and the doctor said he hasnt seen anything like it . and they sent it away for testing . then a month later i got called in and found out what it was ... it was the lining of my uterus .

WTF. im 15 that wasnt supposed to happen and i was scared sh*tless, (sorry for my language but still!) im fine now , its been over a year since i was on the shot and my periods are finally regular now . but im never taking it ever again! EVER.

Hi, i was on Depo for a few years, i then went to the doctors for something small and ended up going for a bone density scan. As DEPO can cause a reduction of your bone density which can result in Osteopenia OR Osteoporosis. If you are on it 2 years or longer you are supposed to be scanned to check it...I was NOT told of this side effect. Just thought you ALL should know.xx

im on the depo, i started about a year and a half ago. i loved it because i didnt have a period but then i gaind a lot of weight since i started the depo i gaind 40lbs. lately ive noticed that i am always tired so tired that i leave fun activities to go sleep. i am 16 years old that is not cool. i am probly going off the shot. tomarra i have an appointment but am going to talk to the doctor about it. really i just want to loose this weight and get back the energy for ice skating and all the other things i enjoy in life.

i was on depo for 6months and have officially decisded to stop getting the shot. if i would have got it again my shot would have been on july 2 but i didnt get it. the depo shot had me with crazy mood swings i was always mad at the world or just depressed for no reason. i also had leg cramps servere headaches loss of appetite lazziness always tired and a period that lasted for 4weeks never knew when it was coming and never knew when it was leaving. now that im off it i started my period on the fourth of july and it was extremely heavy. i had to where tampons and pads at the same time just so i wouldnt mess of my clothes or my bed sheets while i was asleep talk about being freaked out!!!. eventually my period went away and i took that as a sign that the depo was leaving my system, but apparently not. now im on my second period this month. which means that i have had 2 periods in one month and im not happy about that at all. if birth control gives you these types of problems then im not so sure i want to take any but im not trying to get pregnant. i have 2 kids already dont want to make anymore anytime soon. so i talked to my doctor and got the birth control pill trinessa and come to find out from doing some research on it that it has been recalled in 2006 and then recalled again this year in february on the 27/2012 and im scared to even put this pill to my lips......any other suggestions for effective birth control out there????

my doctor told me yesterday that some people want get there period back for a while it is very unknown but dont have intercourse because you can become pregnant. I have been off my shot almost 2 months and i am still waiting on my period my boyfriend and i have had sexual intercourse three days go and i am worried because he didnt use any protection so yes it is a problems of having nausea and soreness mine is my whole body my hair and some cramping

Sometimes very rarely is a blood test ever wrong. Watched a show where a woman got a blood test and it was negative..but guess what...she was indeed pregnant
