I have been dealing with nervousness for about a year now. I grew up a shy person and everyone loved me. usually when someone makes me laugh I can relax a little. But now I can barely leave the house now due to how worse its gotten. I cant even go to church or talk to my parents for a certain amout of time without irregular breathing and figetting every now and then. I stopped hanging with friends and the only person I can be around without feeling embarrased is my boyfriend...and I can barely stay calm. Every tries to ignore it but I never can and its getting worse...I just dont know what to do. dont know what to take...i dont want to take the wrong things...im just confused.

There is no reason to let this limit your life so much. Go to your doctor/or find a good general doctor if you don't have one and tell them what you wrote here. They will have no problems giving you something to help with the anxiety. The things you described go beyond just being shy. Having an anxiety problem is nothing to be ashamed of & just because you may need medication right now does not mean you will have to tak it forever. I promise you it will improve your life a great deal to get these symptoms reduced.

Ihkay-

Before I begin, absolutely without a doubt your feelings of Panic associated with "irregular Breathing", which I assume you meant Hyperventilating, is taking too much of a tole on the quality of your life for you not to get to the bottom of this.  I must advise that you get a regular Check-up with your Medical Doctor first, to verify that it is not a Medical problem that is responsible for your Respiratory Distress and other Symptoms.

That said, I can't help but get the feeling that even though you claim your Boyfriend is the only person who provides some relief, he may also be the cause of your Anxiety as well.  Essentially it is every other Social Situation BESIDES your relationship, including regular communication with your parents that is triggering this Anxiety.  I wonder if you are experiencing Separation Anxiety, and when you aren't with your Boyfriend you might experience feelings of insecurity in your relationship which has seemingly become the main aspect of your life that provides you with security and relief (even if it's not total relief).  You said the problem started approximately a year ago, if your Boyfriend came into your life more than a year ago then I think that's the cause of your problem.  I think you may feel dependent on your Boyfriend or the relationship, while you neglected the other parts of your life, probably because they just aren't as fun (simply put!).

Once you are sure you have no Medical Problems, and don't worry I'm sure your as Physically healthy as they come, you should seek a Counselor or Psychiatrist who will teach you how to keep a healthy distance from your relationship so you can start feeling more comfortable and normal in all parts of your life.  It would be foolish and Self Destructive to not act on it, trust me your not the first person to feel a little Anxious, you sound totally level-headed and good-hearted but it's on you to keep it that way and improve.

I appreciate this post an could very well be the issue, but this started or prior to me and my boyfriend dating. I dont think he has anything do to with it.

You could be pre-disposed to Anxiety and what I originally thought was the prob. could've exacerbated it. Either that or I would try to think about what could've happened a year ago that caused this reaction. More significantly, confirm that the Difficulty Breathing you have experienced is not anything besides Anxiety.
