I have always noticed a mucus-y discharge ever since i started the pill. i have been on the pill for a couple of years because of my heavy period. my discharge looks white but when i wipe myself and look at the tissue it has a yellow tint. I always think it is a yeast infection but im not sure what it is exactly! :(sometimes i have very mild itching but never constant itchiness. i have told my doctors and they prescribe me medication for a yeast infection. the discharge will go away for a few days but comes back. im tired of going to the obgyn , i just want to know if my discharge is normal or do i have an infection. i am sexually active but only with one guy, we were both virgins so i know it is not an std. please help. is anyone else having this discharge???

I've had the exact same problem. It looks like snot and it has an odor to it. I went to the doctor for it a few times, and everytime they've tested it and told me that they don't know what it is because my sample looks fine. They said that it may be normal, but I've been on the pill for two years and this is just becoming a problem in the last few months.

I have been on the pill for 3 years and have also started to notice this problem, when it first came up, I went to a doctor and had swabs done because I was worried about what it could be. They said they would call me if anything came up on the tests, and I never got the call. I spoke to a health nurse, who reassured me to not worry, they would have contacted me if they had found anything at all. My advice is not to be concerned :) it is most likely a change in your body
