HOW DOES ONE KNOW WHEN THE TIME HAS COME FOR SURGERY FOR ONE OF THESE LITTLE BUGGERS. IT IS KILLING ME, IN MY MIND I HAVE WONDERED IF IT IS WORSE THAN CHILD BIRTH. I AM SHAKING, AND HAVE CHILLS FROM THE PAIN BEING SO ACUTE IN THAT AREA. I CAN'T SLEEP. MY DR. GAVE ME SOME CREAM, AND IT WENT AWAY, BUT KEEPS RECURRING, AND NOW THE CREAM IS NOT HELPING. PLEASE ADVISE, WHAT DO I DO, AND DO I NEED THE SURGERY, HOW WILL I KNOW, OR WILL I HAVE TO LIVE WITH THIS FOREVER?

SINCERELY,

It's all about quality of life. Pain with no end in sight is not acceptable. There are some alternaitives to the drastic surgery, mainly this band procedure done by the Center for Colorectal Health. It's uncomfortable and there is some pain afterward but Motirn can take the edge off. I'll take pain associated with healing and put the whole episode in the rear view mirror. Having this anal pain and it consuming your life is not good mentally.
