I have had vulva pain for about 6 weeks - today was diagnosed with skenes gland problem. Did a biopsy onsite - find out in about 10 days. Have been doing pelvic floor therapy with a registered therapist locally (lucky to have one!). Feeling much better already.
This started off last August 2009 with a small itch on the right side of my vagina, in the middle. Then progressed recently all over pain in the vagina, but still specifically in that spot. That turns out to be the right side skenes gland. Pelvic floor therapist has done deep massage into the groin area, plus all muscle-vagina specific sites (inside of legs, etc.) Lots of dry needling (look it up if you don't know what this is - I didn't). Quite painful, but is helping. therapy twice a week for 3 weeks now, and continuing. Had to get a script for this therapy from my urologist so that it is paid for my Medicare + AARP J Plan. We'll see how long it lasts through Medicare +. Ann
