Give me more details. How old are you? Are you or were you on any birth control? Are you sexually active? There are many things that can affect your period but from what you've said so far it doesn't sound too serious. Ever since I've been on the pill, for example, there are times when my period started late or early and I had the brown blood discharge. There's nothing wrong with my uterus or anything like that, it jus shows me that the normal sloughing action took a little longer to get out! How is your eating schedule. If you have too little fat in your body, your brain and body will automatically shut down your period and sexual cycles. It's a survival mechinisim that keeps you from trying to support a baby when you yourself have too little to live off of. This also happened to me when I was in high school and really big into the soccer team. I ran all the time and I was healthy but simply didn't injest enough fats, proteins, or iron. That kind of stuff. My period wouldn't come, and when it did come it basically had to make up for lost time. There is buildup in there that finally comes out so it looks a little funny. If athleticism is your problem don't scarf hamburgers or anything (that would ruin your figure :-P ) simply eat more protein from peanut butter or beans or eggs, get potassium, and calcium from orange juice, milk, or yogurt (and bananas). As long as you don't have severe cramps, or a funny infection smell, or a yellow or green discharge, I would think there's nothing to worry about. Just try to keep up a normal period rhythm :-)

I haven't had my period in over three months. I had my first period three months ago, but the second one hasn't come yet! I know it's irregular, but this is too long.
