Hi. I have a very important question. I have been having an irregular menstral cycle. The last time I had a period was October of 2004, that's almost 2 years ago.

It's is very scary and I would like to know what I could do to maybe get help with this problem are get it started back. The only way I had a regular period was when I was on birth control, that was the only way I would have a period like I was supposed to.

I decided to get off the pill. I got on the birth control method in April of 2001. Some people have told me that it just take a while for them to get out of your system, and others just don't know.

Is this affecting me from having kids, now that I want kids? Please Please help me, I really need to know. It really bothers me, but I never talk about it that much anymore because I've gotten used to not having a menstral cycle.

Please Help Me!!!

Thank You

Have you spoken to your doctor and let them know that you want to have children? The doctor should be able to give you some insight as to why you havent gotten your period. I am 25 and I too have irregular periods. Birth control does take some time to leave your system but I really doubt that it would take two years to do so....For example i started the pill when I was 14 due to irregular periods and stopped taking it in November of 1996 and found out that i was pregnant in January of 1997. My son is now turning 7, I too am trying to conceive and my periods are still irregular. Just remember that everything that happens, happens for a reason, with any luck we will both get our new little bundles soon. If you need to talk let me know. For now see your doctor and good luck.
