So, I need to know what will happen to me if I happened to get pregnant while taking birth control.

Long story short, I missed a lot of birth control pills before/after my week off the pills, meaning I could have gotten pregnant. What I want to know is, if I AM pregnant, and still taking pills, when I stop taking my pills for the "off week" will my body still force me to have a period, since birth control pills do that naturally?

Please help the best you can, I really need to know if I am pregnant! Thank you so much.

Hi Girl,

If you got pregnant on birth control, then no, you won't have a period.  If you did, you'd have a miscarriage.

The pills help regulate your period, sort of "timed" for the "off week."  You don't need to take them that week as you are not likely to get pregnant just before your period.  Some women take pills every day, but they are "reminder" pills during the "off week."

If you are late, you can still take a HPT.  The pill won't affect the results.

Hope it helps.  Good luck!
